FIDAO-Community is an open and free online community that anyone can join. Hosted on Discord, it serves as a space for sharing knowledge and connecting with others, where members engage in discussions on cutting-edge technologies such as AI, blockchain, and robotics, as well as topics like STEM, entrepreneurship, finance, and future-focused education.
FIDAO-Membership is a specialized talent development program designed for individuals and teams seeking practical experience through participation in international robotics competitions (WRO, FTC), business model development, entrepreneurship, finance, and accelerator programs. Members gain access to exclusive paid services and events provided by FID INC.
Both the FIDAO-Community and FIDAO-Membership are operated by FID Inc., a company headquartered in Osaka, Japan.
WRO (World Robot Olympiad) is an international robotics competition with participation from over 80 countries. It is designed for students from elementary school to university, aiming to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through robot design and programming.
To participate in the WRO Japan Official Osaka Qualifying Tournament, you must first join the Future Innovator DAO community on Discord and apply for membership in the Future Innovator DAO. Only those whose membership applications are approved through the screening process will be eligible to submit an entry for the tournament.
The participation fee is ¥3,600 per person (tax included).
FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) is one of the world’s premier robotics competitions for students aged 12 to 18. With over 30 years of history, FIRST® is supported by global technology leaders such as RTX, Qualcomm, and NASA. The FIRST® Tech Challenge brings together participants from 81 countries and is held annually in more than 30 countries around the world. Through FTC, students gain hands-on experience not only in robot design and programming, but also in team building, presentations, and strategic business planning.
No, the FIRST® Tech Challenge has not yet been held in Japan. To change that, we at FID Inc. have established the FIRST Tech Challenge Japan Championship Bid Committee. Our mission is to bring the first official FTC event to Japan and provide Japanese students with access to world-class educational experiences and a platform to compete on the global stage.
In Japan, there are limited opportunities for middle and high school students—who are in a critical stage of physical and mental development—to gain practical experience in STEM and entrepreneurial education. As a result, the country faces a shortage of globally competitive engineers and entrepreneurs. Hosting the FIRST® Tech Challenge in Japan is a crucial step toward closing this educational gap and fostering the next generation of innovators who are eager to take on global challenges.
